CHEM 208L - Intro to Organic and Biochemistry Laboratory (1cr) CHEM 208L is a laboratory course that is designed to accompany CHEM 208 . The topics covered include covalent bonding, acid/base and solution chemistry, organic naming and modeling, organic reactions and properties, synthesis of organic molecules, and chemical tests for biomolecules. This course is not designed to be taken in place of a two-semester organic or biochemistry course and will not count towards the chemistry major or minor. Prerequisites: It is recommended, but not required, that CHEM 207 and CHEM 207L be taken as a prerequisites. Prerequisite/corequisite: MATH 101 , MATH 105 , MATH 108 , MATH 205 , MATH 207 , or appropriate placement score, or permission of instructor. Corequisite: It is recommended, but not required, that CHEM 208 be taken concurrently.
