SOWK 411 - Social Work Practicum III (3 cr) The culmination of the social work student’s course work in which the student will be expected to transform theory, knowledge, and skills into practice through direct delivery of social welfare service in an approved social service agency under the direction of a qualified supervisor. The student completes approximately 20 hours of practicum experience per week in a social service agency and attends a weekly practicum seminar held on campus. The University faculty and the agency supervisor work closely to ensure the student undergoes an intense, thorough, broad experience in direct service to people in need. Prerequisites: Senior majors only, and SOWK 407 .
