MUSC 200 - Peer Mentoring(1cr) This course provides an opportunity for junior and senior music majors to assist the instructor of the First-Year Experience for Music Majors course. They will work closely with the instructor in order to assist new students with the often overwhelming transition to university life. Peer mentors will meet with their assigned mentees weekly to help familiarize them with campus resources and the intricacies of the music major, and to follow up with students who miss class. Peer mentors must be nominated by the music faculty to serve in this role. This course may be repeated for a maximum of 4 credits. Prerequisites: Junior standing and permission of the instructor.
