Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate (Postdoctoral)

The Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate is a non-degree 25-hour program that includes 540 direct-care supervised clinical hours. The program is restricted to doctorally prepared, nationally certified advance practice nurses who seek to expand the patient populations they are prepared to serve.

Admissions Requirements:

Applicants must have a doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) from a regionally accredited institution, with a 3.00 minimum GPA for all work beyond the baccalaureate degree.  The applicant must hold national certification in an Advance Practice Nurse role as a Nurse Practitioner (any population focus), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or Certified Nurse Midwife, and possess an unencumbered APRN license in all states in which clinical hours will be completed.
