CNSL 520 - Psychotherapy and Treatment

(3cr) This course provides a comprehensive examination of theoretical foundations, evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches, and treatment modalities used in clinical mental health counseling. Emphasizing a trauma-informed and culturally responsive framework, students explore individual, group, couple, and family therapeutic interventions across diverse clinical populations and settings. The course integrates assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and intervention strategies rooted in major counseling theories and current research.
