HNRS 400 - Honors Symposium(3 cr) This course is required of Honors students during one of the last three semesters of their college career. This interdisciplinary course is intended to provide students an opportunity to explore subjects of the broadest possible interest and greatest societal impact. Through an intensive examination of a different major theme every year, students, faculty and visiting expert lecturers will work as an interdisciplinary team, bringing knowledge from their various majors and areas of interest and expertise to explore the issues and create an interdisciplinary final project. Through this course, students are encouraged to see the university as an interconnected enterprise, and to imagine the university and themselves as one part of a larger spectrum of scholars in the community, the region, the nation and the world.
