GLBL 350 - Cultural Competence & Engagement(3cr) Students engage in a comparative analysis of world cultures with focus on cultural orientations, verbal and non-verbal communication, religious practices, business protocols, and social traditions. The course builds cognitive, affective, and behavioral skills for understanding and interacting effectively with people of different cultures. The intended outcomes are global-mindedness, self-awareness, cultural sensitivity, and behavioral flexibility and adaptability for study abroad and careers in culturally diverse settings. Previously titled International Experience.
