(3 cr) A study of the literatures of various American ethnic groups, focusing on writers of color. Emphasis will be placed on the oral tradition of the ethnic groups and the development of written literatures, with primary emphasis on twentieth-century written texts. Prerequisites: ENGL 102 or permission of instructor.
