EDUC 443 - Reading in the Content Areas

(3 cr) An on-campus seminar will focus on reading instruction in the content areas of the curriculum.  Attention is given to the identification of the special reading abilities required in the subject matter areas.  Students will focus many of their in-field lessons on the teaching of reading in the content area.  Students will arrange their field work schedules so that they may meet their individual professional development needs. Prerequisites: EDUC 370  or EDUC 319 . Corequisite: EDUC 375, EDUC 400 and Special Methods course for students’ content area.
