APST 476 - Appalachian Studies Practicum(1-3cr) The student serves as an assistant and/or researcher for the Appalachian Heritage Festival or a classroom apprentice, works on a special project or does Web design, serves on the Anthology of Appalachian Writers commitee or as a student editor, serves on the AHWIR Committee, or completes some type of service or practical project that benefits the community, the region, the University, or the Appalachian Studies Program, including the Alternative Spring Break service project. May be repeated to a maximum of 6 credits. Prerequisites: Permission of Appalachian Studies coordinator or Appalachian Heritage Festival director.
