HIST 301 - American Colonial History(3 cr) This course examines the development of colonies in America, 1492-1763. Instead of seeing the history of the mainland North American colonies as the rise of the United States, the course places the colonies in an Atlantic context. This multi-imperial, multi-ethnic, multicultural approach will focus on political, cultural, social, and economic interactions among Indians, African, and Europeans in the New World.
