CHEM 311 - Chemical Pharmacology(3 cr) This course is an introduction to the structure, mechanisms of action, and clinical application of drugs currently in use. The emphasis is on general pharmacological principles and on a survey of a wide spectrum of agents; chemical aspects of pharmacology are stressed where they contribute significantly to the understanding of drug action. Prerequisites: One semester of anatomy/physiology and one semester of chemistry; or, permission of the instructor.
