Return to: Programs of Study
The University offers a program of courses in physics designed to serve those students who wish to supplement their majors with a minor in a fundamental field of science. In particular, this minor would complement a major in chemistry, environmental studies, biology, or mathematics. The courses offered provide challenging application in applied mathematics. The 300-level physics courses are offered as tutorial courses: the student will work independently, with periodic meetings with a physics faculty member for discussions and testing. Students interested in pursuing the physics minor should contact a physics faculty member (physics is housed within the Institute for Environmental Studies and Physical Sciences) to discuss the program and the scheduling of the 300-level courses.
