Curriculum for a Comprehensive Major in Art (Contemporary)

Total hours required (including free electives), 120 Hours:

Core Curriculum, 42 Hours:

All art majors must take  ART 103  for their Core Curriculum Tier 2 Arts requirement.

Fine arts core, 36 Hours:

Art history core, 9 Hours:
Professional practices core, 9 Hours:

Group I electives, 6 Hours:

Select 6 credits from the following with assistance from your advisor.  (Courses required in concentration area cannot be utilized twice.)

Group II electives, 6 Hours:

Select 6 hours from the following with assistance from your advisor. (Courses required in concentration area cannot be utilized twice.)

Concentrations (choose ONE):

In order to progress and to graduate the student enrolled in any B.F.A. concentration must receive a minimum of a C in each course within the concentration, a minimum grade of C in ART 208 - Professional Practices I  and ART 490 - Capstone .

Graphic design concentration, 42 Hours:
