(2 cr) A study of the principles of normal nutrition including the major nutrients; the functions of and food sources of the nutrients; nutrient utilization by the body; the relationships of disease, genetics, and nutrition; food safety; and nutritional requirements through the life cycle. Prerequisites: CHEM 120 and CHEM 122, or permission of instructor.
