CHEM 333 - Environmental Chemistry(3 cr) The chemistry of environmental processes and problems. Topics include stratospheric chemistry, ground-level air chemistry and air pollution, the greenhouse effect and global warming, energy use and carbon dioxide emission, toxic organic and inorganic compounds, the chemistry of natural waters and water pollution, and waste management. Instrumentation for measuring pollutants is discussed. Prerequisites: One year of University-level chemistry.
