(3 cr)A foundations-level course in the journalism minor which is intended to emphasize accurate, balanced reporting and effective news writing style. Assignments include hard news, interviews, columns, pubic relations, and feature stories. The basics of libel law and journalistic ethics will also be considered.Prerequisites: ENGL 101 .
