Child Advocacy Studies Certificate (Undergraduate)

Curriculum for a Certificate in Child Advocacy Studies, 10 Hours:

The Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) Certificate will prepare students to effectively advocate on behalf of children as victims and survivors of child maltreatment. Completion of the CAST certificate program will enable students to recognize child maltreatment and understand the factors that contribute to it; identify existing social services and supports for children in their communities; develop effective interprofessional responses to child maltreatment; and build their own resilience for a long-term career in child welfare and advocacy. The CAST certificate is open to degree-seeking students in any major, and to non-degree-seeking individuals.
