The CIS minor helps students complement their major by providing fundamental understanding and knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, databases, and contemporary computing systems as a whole. Students will also gain practical experiences with computer programming and modern application development.

Curriculum for a Minor in Computer and Information Sciences
When selecting a minor, the student must be aware that 45 hours of upper-division credits are required for graduation. Total hours required for a minor, 18 Hours:
A total of 18 credit hours in CIS is required. Of these 18 credits, 9 credit hours must be upper-division credits (courses numbered 300 or above).
