The Anthropology minor explores how diverse social and cultural experiences shape our understanding of what it means to be human. The minor also encourages the study of human cultures (past and present) as well as human-environmental relationships from a bio-cultural perspective. Students learn about different regions and continents, unraveling history and making connections to modern-day life. They also examine social processes and issues ranging from religion, forensics, and human trafficking to the pressure of human activities on the environment. Theoretical perspectives and approaches from each major anthropological sub-area provides a comprehensive overview of the discipline.
