This minor offers an opportunity to study crime, social control, and the criminal justice system while pursuing a major in another discipline. With a grounding in social justice, the is a strong addition to any major. The Crime and Society minor explores fundamental issues inherent in the criminal justice system and provides an array of insights into complex societal challenges. The interdisciplinary coursework offers an opportunity for students to gain knowledge and competencies that are useful in a variety of career settings, including corrections, law enforcement, human services, and public and social service administration.
