2021-2022 Shepherd University Catalog [ARCHIVED CATALOG]
Data Analytics Comprehensive, B.S.
Return to: Programs of Study
Data analytics is a rapidly evolving discipline that incorporates concepts in mathematics, statistics, and computer science to collect and interpret large datasets efficiently and effectively. As ours is an increasingly data-driven world, those who can conduct high-level analyses of data will find their skills in demand across the entire job spectrum. Students who take data analytics courses at Shepherd are exposed to the various ethical, statistical, and algorithmic aspects of the discipline. By learning how to handle vast quantities of information in a streamlined fashion, data analytics students gain both mathematical and programming competence.
