MUSC 235 - Jazz Techniques(1 cr) This course presents students with an overview of the current methods and materials of jazz education including rehearsal techniques, improvisation pedagogy, concert programming, jazz history, and repertoire. As a workshop experience, students will apply rehearsal techniques by conducting the Lab Band in rehearsal. Previously titled MUSC 308 Jazz Pedagogy (2cr); also previously MUSC 308 Jazz Techniques (1cr). Prerequisites: Declared music major or music minor; MUSC 103 and MUSC 104 .
