BIOL 363 - Mycology(4cr) In addition to the diverse benefits fungi provide, fungi pose significant threats to human health, wildlife, and agriculture. This upper-level lecture and lab course covers the physiology, ecology, genetics, phylogeny, and important biological roles of fungi. The laboratory includes microscopy and molecular biology techniques. This course is appropriate for students interested in medicine and health-related fields, agriculture, and ecology. Prerequisites: BIOL 211 and BIOL 212 ; or permission of instructor.
