DATA 5FDM - Foundations in Mathematics

(3cr) Students will be presented, in a highly accelerated format, concepts in calculus and linear algebra that are essential for successful completion of the master’s program in data analytics and information systems. Topics include limits, differentiation, optimization methods, integration techniques, ordinary differential equations, Taylor polynomials, vector and matrix operations, solving matrix equations, matrix decompositions, and eigenvalues/eigenvectors. This course will not count toward fulfilling MS-DAIS degree requirements.
