DATA 510 - Mathematical Modeling(3cr) This course is a study of how to model the world around us using mathematics, how to solve the resulting equations, and how to apply the results. It provides a thorough study of how to use both quantitative and qualitative solution behavior in the modeling process. Students will be expected to complete an independent research project chosen with guidance from the instructor. Prerequisites: Foundational calculus and linear algebra courses at the undergraduate or graduate level with a C or better, taken within the last ten years.
