HPPH 335 - New Media and Digital History(3 cr) This course examines the impact of new media and technology on the field of history. We discuss the theoretical implications of new media for historical research and writing, and explore how technology changes the way history is taught and presented to public audiences. Topics include the digitization of primary sources, benefits and drawbacks of historical information available via the internet, and digital tools used by historians. Students will gain practical experience in the construction and use of digital resources.
