RECR 363 - Lifeguard Training /Professional Rescuer(3 cr) Students learn skills necessary to prevent aquatic accidents and to rescue drowning victims in a variety of aquatic environments. Professionalism, working with people, and facility surveillance are also included. Students appropriately passing written and practical tests may receive American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid Certificates. Prerequisites: Good swimming skills (ability to swim 20 lengths of the pool without stopping).
