MATH 415 - Introduction to Topology(3 cr) Study of the properties of regions unaffected by continuous mappings. Includes consideration of open and closed sets, interior and boundary of a set, and neighborhood systems; motivation for concrete applications of the idea of a topological space and its separation properties. Other topics may include various applications of the notions of convergence and compactness. Prerequisites: MATH 207 ; MATH 307 or MATH 312 .
