ART 390 - Professional Practices II(3 cr) This junior level course continues the preparation begun in Professional Practices I. This course is designed to provide the emerging artist with the practical knowledge necessary to understand the workings of the art world and to provide the information necessary to market, sell, and exhibit work. Students will develop promotional packets and materials and learn the importance of documenting work and maintaining accurate listings of employment and clients. Grant writing, gallery representation, contracts, pricing, commissions, arts advocacy, and employment opportunities will also be covered. The business of art, graphic design, and photography will be explored in detail in this multi-sectioned course associated with individual concentration areas. Prerequisites: ART 208 .
