SPAN 405 - Seminar in Literature I(3 cr)A seminar course focusing on a literary genre, movement, period, or figure chosen by the instructor and approved by the coordinator. The student is expected to attend regular meetings of the seminar, participate in open discussions, and present a series of short written and oral reports related to the topic chosen for study. The student is also responsible for submitting a major documented paper which individually investigates an aspect of the topics of the course as a whole.Prerequisites: SPAN 310 or 311 or 312 or 313 and permission of the instructor.
