(3 cr)The study of what jazz is, how to listen to jazz, and jazz heritage are examined. Jazz interpretation, improvisation, listening techniques, musical concepts of jazz, and influences of jazz styles are central points of this course. Historical and stylistic aspects of jazz are also considered.
