MUSC 140 - Class Piano I(1 cr)The Class Piano sequence (MUSC 138 , 140, 141 ) is designed to help students acquire skills that will be essential in their careers as classroom or private music teachers. These skills include basic keyboard technique; harmonization of melodies, scales and arpeggios; solo and ensemble literature; and accompanying. In addition to one hour of class instruction, students will be required to attend one hour of supervised laboratory time.Prerequisites: Completion of MUSC 138 with a grade of C or above (student must be able to read music and have some keyboard experience) or by permission of the instructor through audition.
