EDUC 421 - Special Methods of Teaching English(3 cr)Current approaches in the teaching of English in the secondary school. Topics include basic teaching procedures and approaches in composition, literature, and grammar; the secondary reading program; critical examination of recent texts; educational media in the field of language arts instruction; materials of instruction.This course is not taught every semester. Students should check in advance with department chair.Prerequisites: Admission to teacher education program.Corequisite: EDUC 370 or 443 .
