* Students can select no more than 3 credit hours from any single discipline for the minor; however, APST courses that are clearly labeled as interdisciplinary (such as APST 343 Appalachian Music and APST Folk Tales and Storytelling) should be counted as separate and distinct disciplines. Students will work with their advisors and the Coordinator of the Appalachian Studies Minor to select from the courses above elective courses of study that complement both their specific interests and majors, as well as courses that fulfille the interdisciplinary nature of the minor.
