CHEM 327 - Solution Chemistry(3 cr) A one-semester course to be taken by the student in the sophomore or junior year. A study of the physical and chemical properties of the liquid state is pursued, with particular emphasis placed on aqueous solution. The preparation of solutions of various concentrations is reviewed. Thermodynamics is introduced. Other major areas are kinetics, equilibria between phases and electrochemistry. Prerequisites: CHEM 207 , CHEM 209 , MATH 105 .
