Policy for Participating in Commencement Ceremonies

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students who have not yet fulfilled all requirements for graduation may participate in the May commencement ceremony as long as they are, as of the time of the May commencement ceremony, in good academic standing* and have yet to complete no more than two courses, totaling no more than nine credit hours.

Students must have already applied for graduation for either that May or the following August. Student names will be listed in the commencement program without Latin honors and will be noted as August candidates. They will be listed again in a future commencement program after they have completed all degree requirements, with Latin honors as appropriate; however, they may not participate again in commencement.
